I have had the urge to build this since last fall, was just to busy with the RC4WD Wagoneer build to start it. Built for SEMA 2019 by River City Rods, this C10 / camper has that cool '70's retro vibe, just had to attempt building it!!! Some inspiration first. 1983-chevrolet-c30-camper-brown-sugar-sema-2019-build (16).jpgIMG_6275.jpg90386188_3269400483087836_8822353560357306368_n.jpg1983-chevrolet-c30-camper-brown-sugar-sema-2019-build (2).jpg90677431_3269402383087646_4629607856096673792_n.jpgIMG_6277.jpg

Thank you!

I think Rob Pitts did a video on YouTube covering this truck.

Brown Sugar in a little mock up pose. Many splices but looking pretty straight. Getting the proportions nailed down. #rivercityrods #2019sema #brownsugar #chevyc10IMG_6285.JPGIMG_6282.jpg

I'd be curious as to the drivability with that much rear overhang, but obviously they got it to SEMA even if it was not a road trip (guessing they trailered it without the camper on). That's a whole lotta "junk in the trunk." Looks like it's going to be great fun to build!

Wow, that's one way to use up those extra Clodbuster body parts.

Thats really wild, how long is the bed on the real one?

I wondered the same thing, I knew it had an air ride system on it, but still, that overhang.....I found this photo, I still wonder how they got it on and off the flat bed! .22.jpg

"Brown Sugar" 2019 #SEMA C30 Camper is waiting for some more styrene and parts but in the mean time am going ahead with more body work. Added siding to the drivers side camper skin.IMG_6305.jpg89996676_619108088648477_7567631430935642112_o.jpgIMG_6304.jpgIMG_6303.jpgIMG_6302.jpgIMG_6308.jpgIMG_6309.jpg

Received my styrene order so back on shaping the camper shell on "Brown Sugar". Had to change the front slope of the camper roof, now looks more like the 1:1 that #rivercityrods built. Have a few more interior elements to add, then try to find the wood interior trim - going to be a challenge with MLHS - Nankin Hobby closed!!!! Next some chassis work.IMG_6367.jpgIMG_6369.jpgIMG_6370.jpgIMG_6366.jpgIMG_6359.jpg

Let me 3D print that...
I'm starting to think that unless it is radical, way over the top build, you are not interested in doing it. :) Nice start to this one. Looking forward to watching it evolve.
