G'day champions!

Because one just isn't enough.

I thought for a change i would leave the cab in tact and maybe hack up the bed instead! Google "Roothy's Milo 2" and you'll see the inspiration for this build.

Filling in the rear of the cab.

These things will go here, as well as some kind of big ass fuel tank and some other bits and pieces.

Hmmmm, only my second update to this thread? Somewhere along the way I've misplaced some of the build photos, things have been a bit bonkers around here lately.....so lets just skip to good bits!

All construction is done on the bed modification. Added what is meant to represent a long range fuel tank and utility boxes on the sides. Here's the fuel filler.

And started laying some piant, but ran out, so waiting for the next trip to the hobby shop. Those little Tamiya cans really don't go that far! Thinking of changing the colour of the fuel tank and boxes.

Decided to not build a canopy for the bed as originally planned. Just keeping it all open.

So as the name of this thread suggests, this build has taken a turn, a change in direction.

The tub rear mod just wasn't doing it for me, so I picked up a CCHand tray. These are a very Aussie looking tray and just bolts straight on to the frame. I did have to change the leaf mounts back to the standard ones. I had the CCHand mounts which brings the axle forward a few millimetres to better match the Killerbody tub.

I covered the wood bed with some scale diamond plate as i want it to look a bit more modern.

There's an absolute bucket load of space under the tray, enough for all the ekectronic bits and the battery, so I routed out some holes for magnets to glue in. Glued magnets on the underside of the base and I have the perfect easy acces storage area with no tools requied while out on trail... exactly how i like it!

Right now I'm in the middle of building a dog box to sit on the tray. I'm using leftover headache racks from previous LC70 bodies as the frame.

I love the look of that tray with the blue cab, great choice. The old headache racks worked perfectly for the frame.

The small rack on the top holding the MaxTracks is a leftover part from the D12 truck... the headache rack thingy.

You can't tell in these pics, but I used a Hey OK light controller that includes headlights, brake and reverse lights. Guess I'll have to take some video for that!
