LOVE THE BOAT!!!! Cool tasteful mods on the Jeep!!! Lower stance looks great!!!

Looks so much better. Hard to believe it's the same jeep. Love the little boat as well.

Thanks Guys.
Hope to have it on the back yard trail this weekend after the seasonal mess and clean up.
Snows all but gone and it's dried up considerably to not get stupid muddy while driving.
Warmer temps although it's still mid 30's but lots nicer.
As for the Little boat....thanks too.
Debating on making it RC or just static still...ahahahaaha:laughing: fun little project non the less.

I'm really sorry but could you go back and add a shaft and rudder to it, That thing would look awesome in 80's style paint job on the water :)

I think you have to make it RC - and put a rear winch on the Jeep (or trailer at least) so you load it and unload it into the water... YouTube would go wild!

Too funny
Huge thanks everyone on the comments.
A Guy got pretty busy...again..ugh
But I have been pondering still on the boat and trailer.
I am almost ready to take the jeep out for it's first spin around the simple back yard trail.
Did a lot of clean up on it but it needs lots more too.
It's been a challenge to to check in and got caught up on all the threads.

Chop Chop, whack whack creation time.
Body is small the say for 1/10th
Lets turn it into a 1/10 XJ 1988 ish

I like this chassis and stuff
That's half the battle won.
IMG_2391.jpg

XJ fits perrrrfect on it. SCORE no mods..yay!
IMG_2392.jpg
IMG_2393.jpg

Plan in hand and I need to beat up a new body...
Win Win.

What is going on with the grill on that 1:1? It looks like a runoff grate.

It's a modified tube aftermarket grill from a square body.
Gives 10 more horse power being used on a chevy once.

Plastic grills don't like Pheasants, Or is that the other way around ?
Plus Back in the day when their was 20 of these running around, It was an Identifier as it was the only Cherokee with this grill.
Easily to identify a family member.;)

Awesome Build. Love the settle mods!

As for RC4WD fashion, Mine also came broke....... Yet to play with it.

What XJ body is that? I haven't found much for a 11.9" WB.

Thanks.
The xj body was purchased off of the bay.
"Scale Designed" I think was the name. came with metal emblems.
I bought his last two though when ordered. Maybe they have more now. ???
The XJ is on the bench, and after driving the stock Black Rock around the last few nights I'm going forth with changing the bodys around for sure.
I need to order the upgraded metal parts no doubts still. although nothing else has broke so far.

The boat is fantastic!! Oh, the truck too...but that boat!!

Hahahaha
Thanks ShopGTR
I'm going to have to drag it off the shelf again then no doubts.

Yes the boat's super fantastic, and I'm sure the XJ will be even more so. And in case you haven't got wheels for it, JS Scale do 3D printed turbines (Wagoneer wheels).

They also have the same wheel with pin mount. The JS Scale shop on Shapeways is https://www.shapeways.com/shops/jsscale

Did I say I love the boat? :hmmm::luv:

Thanks "FP"
Info very appreciated.
I'll get some wheels coming.
Supposed to have some crappy weather this weekend, so I'm looking forward to sitting at the bench and get on this project.
Or should I say Projects.....;)
A guy needs a break from the bark yard trail system and constant yard work for sure.

Champaign
and some light weathering started.
I couldn't find any paint at the local hardware store to match my blue ish color.
But it is close to the right looking manufacture MOPAR speciation's color code;)
Lots of littles to add for the details...hope it comes around. Crossing fingers.
Thanks for looking.
IMG_2525.jpg

Hopefully you can see a hint of silver on the fenders. And three coats of Matte to break it up from the body color.

I lied fellers on the wheel base fitting.
I had to stretch the rear links a 1/4 inch to fit the tires to the wheel openings once fender flares where on.
Piece of cake though, Just added 1/4 inch spacers and longer Link bolt dood-dads..
Why I was at it......
Put stock longer TF2 shocks on it all the way around, and went back to the longer coils too.
The stock shocks where binding and catching in their tubes.
Also had to then lengthen rear drive line center. I cut it down early in thread to allow proper clearance when I lowered chassis.

Still needs details painted, probably a simple half interior and etc.....
But here is a quick looksy.
Great tire tuckage and flexy.

Looks goood! I too like the tire fitment with the fenders a lot, proper size I think and tucks in very nicely. I have been temped by that body for a long time now, ended up starting with a Hilux but I still have a soft spot for it. It is very realistic especially with the details you put to it!
