How can I "age" headlights?

Heya...
I've got LED's in my headlight assembly, but I don't like how "LED" they look (does that make any sense?)...I find they're too white...I like the brightness, but the hue is throwing me off a bit...they look too anachronistic on a 70's body IMO...

Does anybody have a technique to yellow/dull/vintage-ize the lenses? Has anyone tried using lighting gels or something like that? Some kind coating of...jeez, I don't know...wood glue or something? Would a yellow wash work with maybe a super-fine sandpaper to start?

Putting it in "H"
I dip mine in Tamiya XF clear yellow. If you sandpaper them, they won't shine properly and will look even weirder. If anything, haze the lenses of the actual headlight with some flat clear.

You can also buy warm white LED's which are much more appropriate.
