Looking around the past few days for a cool base to test the new GCM MetalHead axles on. I want something fairly large, durable and most importantly a body that's as easy as polycarbonate to replace if things go bad! :paranoid:

The new Fords from HPI are just about to be released and I'm hoping to see where some simple mods will take the body to up the realism in the grille area and a few other spots.

Growing up my Dad had a big SC with a big block in it and I remember being in the passenger seat and having him just turn into the ditch and go for it....any ditch! I may try and dig up the photos and get it looking close to the original. I haven't had a big raunchy Ford pickup since Lurleen and the timing's just right!

A little inspiration until I can dig up the other pics, not all SuperCabs but have the same feel none the less...

Will be hard to resist that old orange and red fade down the side with a black base...man I wish the Bronco was out!

I'm really digging the new SC body as well. When I was small my dad had a green 3+3 work truck. That thing was a monster :)

You need pictures of James' truck (not sure what his super-duper secret code member name is).

this is going to be heavy and incredibly strong. I hope the body is as tough as the rest of the truck!! [[[

Jeep is still on but what I've been instructed to do with the axles I don't want to subject hand built body to just yet! After I enjoy this rig I'll move the axles over and maybe narrow them for the Willy's buildup

No doubt the body will take a lickin... maybe just maybe if I do this right this big raunchy Ford will get me that honorary Axle Twister membership I've yet to get?

Muddy Ford AT guys...

This is just screaming for a long 4TEN. That's a freaking sick body. I can't wait to see what you do with the paint and details!! Look at the sick little fender flares on it!!

There's a definite line for the cutout but the lexan's solid. It messes with the eyes a little so I'm cutting out the back window to replace with a slider. Will snap some pics for you to take a look.
