Alright, final stretch... been doing roofing and driver stuff all weekend.
Can't wait to get it finished, been way too long. I'm so happy and proud to have both Matt and Dion's work finish off the final stretch, next and final video of the series should be ready in a few days. The seat and driver work so well together guys!
Here's where I left off Saturday morning. Unfortunately, I had to bail on the brass/modular roof and spandex on this one, styrene will have to do.
This was the mockup phase for all of the roof bows. All 6 lower mounting points work with steel grub screws and mini magnets. The top, at the windshield eventually locks down with mini magnets and scale hardware.

Congrats Kevin, a job very well done, deserving of the Guild's Finest!

Amazing work dude. What a project!

Finally here! Ha...awesome.

Congrats and very well deserved.

so. much. detail!

looking really good. a lot of details

The finest of fine work. Amazing.

Thanks for the nice words guys, also for the move to the new category!
As you can imagine, it's such a relief to wrap this up, happy that I was able to get the truck out to the new owner in almost one piece, and finally complete one of the longest damn running threads on the SBG. While the video series took forever and was a complete pain to do over two channels, it was a good learning experience in many ways. I also came out of this with a great refresher course on CAD and a whole education on 3D printing that will come in very handy moving forward.
I appreciate all who stuck it out and followed the build.
