project: allison v-12

a talk to the guys up at tdr to mod me a allison v-12 kit and transmission

my project is to mate the allison to a tamiya 3-speed trannmision

there was a lot of cutting . but it mated very sweet!

i have a couple of builds coming up useing this engine/transmssion combo

the transmisson if noticed has a castle 9000kv motor attached to it

the trasmission will fit lower in the chissis when im done. i still have more parts to add on the engine

once i install in the truck i will putthe allison transmission cover on.

the truck it self is 32 inches long, will have semi suspension , lowered with 72mm tires
pure racing for this baby

I think it's a four-valve per cylinder design. That means two valves each for the exhaust.

v-12, look in the heads , 6x pistons in each

Wow, this is a big engine! I thought the motor wires were for a servo at first. LOL!

the v-12 is huge . im trying to figure out what truck im want to build, its a toss between puller or race truck

i finally figure out what im doing with this one

sense the customer didnt pay me for the convertible. well his lost

i will put the cab to use. i still have alittle ways to go. want to add more stuff to the interior and arround the engine area. not sure whether to add wing or fifth wheel

working on the interior today. adding roll bar and removable hard top

the roll bar is painted and padded
also add organe stripe on seats

transmission really had to be spot on for the drive shaft to come though. i added a backer plate for the resin transmission and added some tubing for screws

body will stay silver

ive added a couple of stripes on the hood, went with the bigger tire on the rears and added some more detail on the engine

i made the wing and finished the roof top

I don't know much about the semi scaler world, but I do know what I like. This.

i took out the knight hauler stuff

but i kept the tanks,went with the king steps. i had to tone down the chrome with some matt black

i made a side mount radiator for kooling this beast down. i will add plumbing later
drive shaft is on order.

I've been dying to try and recreate Tyrone Malone's Bandag Bandit. I plan on using all of my Bullhead parts to get started.... this build is inspirational for sure!!!

yeap you can do alot of different things with a rigs, wait to you see my pulling rig next
