Finally feeling like a Rod build.
Been a day or two no doubts.

Not feeling like completely starting from scratch, I cheated and pulled out the 1925 tele Booth bucks.

The basics.

Nice!! Maybe I should build rod for my ramp truck...

Thank you "neruda"
I seriously pulled the inspiration from yours and another build in the off road section to get to building another rod.
very appreciated ;)

Hope you do build something very cool to haul around on it.
Shoot..... maybe I'll create a ramp truck to haul this around too.

Hey Beers :) I like that mock up a lot already! And that V8 will be awesome in there too, I also have one but need to have a project for it, I'm a bit slow starting new projects, and it does not fit the Hilux nor the Escort hahaha

The narrowed HPI vintage wheels up front look very good. I suggest you could paint the inside of the wheel black to not attract attention to the stepped wheels (larger wheel diameter on the inside).

I was about to ask if you plan for a modern chassis or more classic, but since you called it rusty, I think that means it will be the latter :)

I'll be following, waiting for my periodic dose of awesome :)

Yes Beers! Very excited for this one! Will look great in the garage!

Thank you.
Be fun to see it sitting at the gas pump no doubts.;)

Sorry for my English.

Thanks fred.
You know how my builds evolve...hehehehee wheel and tires choice change once we pick up some ideas and character.
But ya, i have had those darn wheels and tires kicking round for years. need to get them used up.

I'm not a hot rod/rat rod guy by any stretch of the imagination but I really like what I see here.

Huge thanks for the peeps n00b.
Far from your skills to make things look right, But I hope to please.

Motor is a bit large for the little car.
Lets make it just a wee bit more then too.
It needs to go fast Rrrrrr.
Bolt on 400 HP .... Didn't turn out very well, but maybe a crazy custom air scoop and more details to keep the eye moving will help.

thanks again everyone.

See what comes about of it.

Cool build!
Your builds are always cool.
Did I say this is cool?
Cool!

Not as cool as your GTR...seriously that thing is coming together beautifully

nice to see you are still at it my friend!
Look forward to seeing more of this one!

joe joe...hello stranger, :laughing:::2thumbs
Im getting older...but no slower... same lazy half "beep" builds...
Thanks for checking in my good friend.

Lazy i tell you, but it'll most likely be hid anywho.
Quick change rear end.
Problem ly... going 3 or 4 link on the rear...better with all that horse power up yonder.;)

Thanks again everyone for the encouragements.
More soon.

Love the axle!

What axle is that?

thanks.
Bought this cheapy to kit bash. some really good tiny bolts and bobs, plus electronics.
I already have the front axle modified into a rear axle for the AA dually truck build.
removed steering knuckles and made new axles.
Rear diff looks close to model T and Model A. little sintra/komacel added for the quick change cover.;)
Just needed a hint of what it's supposed to look like.

Cool rearend, i don't think i've seen anybody do a quick-change styled rc diff. Problemly gonna look slick under there.

Instead of a Super on the engine, maybe try something like Triple-deuce or Dual-quad carbs?

Is that old Woof hanging out in the background?

I'm constipating a 3x2 for a new manifold...more traditional no doubts and I discussed it once with the trini myster way back when.......
The dog with no name is the "dog" ahahahaa used him in the SUV build. just never glued him in.
What movie was the dog called "dog" anywhoo ? Mad Max..John Wayne ? ahahahaa I cant remember.

Lets see..
I've been diligently working away on a front end...behind the seems..get it seems :crazy:
I ruined a 1/16 semi axle hehehehe Oh well. NO PICTURES...Nope.
Then dove into some brass stock, making slow head way as theirs lots to get right.
Just waiting for a proper update once connected and functional.
Bare with .....
should have sumthin to post shortly.

It's me again.
Very slow goings and way to many distractions my friends.
I am working on the chassis and stuff 3 to 4 hours a day. just in scattered time increments.
Hard to get any thing done this way and you all know how i like to pump things out while the inspiration is flowing.

Currently on progress.
Have the 4 links installed for the rear diff. Still need to mount up shock/dampers...
RC4WD scale trany mounted.
And a rat rod front tube looking front axle attached. Shortened a super scale leaf spring for the front too.

Lots of littles to clean up and make pretty for a pic still, but it's coming.;)
2 steps forward and 4 back on this one. loving the challenge of it though.::2thumbs
More soon.
Bench burnout vid for sure too.;)

It's me again.
Still need to shake the steering to death...got's evil plans no doubts.;)

It's a running roller though and built like a brick. You know...to go...Fast RRrrrrrr.
Enjoy and thanks for the peeps.
Not sure how far to go with super details, as their bound to fall off from the violence.
See where inspiration leads me.
