Sisu R500 10x10 Wrecker

Hello guys I've started to build a new idea, it's based off of a Sisu Rock R500 10x2 Dump but I'm going to combine several types of recovery equipment including a working crane I hope and a tow truck boom arm. I'll try to keep it close to scale 1/10 however I'm pretty sure this combination plus buillding it to offroad will push it further away from 100%. This video is what inspired me, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTnTsNAzAgk&playnext=1&list=PL261E355F3DB8C993

Some pictures to follow as I get them together.

Cheers!

10x10 setup sort of

After work today I thought I would post a few pics on my progress so far with the chassis. The frame rails are 6 Tamiya's bolted together, I'm using stainless steel hardare and I'm already out and aluminum axles mounts from 3level rc. it's taken maybe a week to get this thing rolling with glitches. i've learned so much from this forum and others but I will need some assistance in the future, it would be greatly appreciated

Wheelbase pics

Hello guys long time no see, been very busy my job is to fun to miss so rc's have been on backburner. Another problem I'm having with this project is that I keep changing my mind with the body style. Anyways this truck is massive way bigger then i thought the picture shows over 4ft long, it weighs 15pds so far :D and actually runs with a home made drive shaft which I don't want to show because it looks silly :).

Suspension Setup

I really wanted to match the wheelbase of the Sisu and following a build by semi joe, I think it turned out pretty well. My frame is chopped to hell but what can I say its 6 tamiya frames bolted together :D, besides I won't see it under the body and I'm not gonna sell it so perfect for me. After this post I'm gonna make a small video of it moving around my apartment. I do have a HH 7 puller motor and ecs but since I'm in an apartment I'm scared the batteries will explode when I charges them so its axial motor/trans.

I didn't start a build page for these two trucks. There no custom frames or crazy parts some axial rc4wd but I wanted to go body build crazy :D still lots of work but boy its fun, here's some pics

It's funny how I start a project and then come up with a new idea and start all over. A new build thread is in the works as of now. When I get some time this monday I'll put up what I'm thinking. Still a beast tho
