Well, It's baaaaaacck!!!!! So excited to have the body back. So #metalmasher sent the body back after finishing the molds. Even sent a new roof top to graft on to it and the grill. I finished the front end mods and added the roof, mine was just a bit shorter than stock. I am prepping for a chassis, so far I have a two wheel drive version planned first as well as a 4 x 4 chassis.

I have narrowed a rear axle, ordered a 1/14 scale beam axle for the front. I printed 1./10 scale Torque Thrust wheels, narrowed the fronts, painted them and prepped the body for "lowered" mode.

For bumpers I was going to make the stock units but had seen a Bitchin Rides episode where Dave Kindig used '68 Camaro bumpers on a C10 build. So I made a couple '68 Camaro bumpers.

Now to tackle a bit more body work and build a chassis.
This is going to be amazzziiiiiingggg!!!

Appreciate the comments gentleman!!! I have to admit, I love this build so far. So, a bit more body work done, a lot more to do. Got started on the frame / chassis. Made the main rails out of 1/4" square steel, ends out of 3/16" solid rod, then "C" notched the frame. Made the decision to lay down the rear shocks so I used a couple triangular tabs from the Master Builders Set from #scalemetalsupplies. Set up a cantilever system, ratio is a bit tight but I do not need a lot of travel. Front axle just uses a couple lateral rods and a couple 1/12 scale ECX plastic front shocks. Ride height is close, may be 1/8" higher in front and 3/8" rear when done.

Settled on a color scheme. Added some C10 chrome trim. Very fortunate to have collaborated on this with #metalmasher, what started as a resin cab made form the Pro-Line '66 Chevy PU has morphed into a '66 Suburban with a bit of styrene and resin parts. Also have the chassis pretty well sorted. Now a ton of odds and ends yet to do. #scalemetalsupplies #nankinhobby #knkhardware #prolineracing #rccaraction
